Yes! The second coming of Kappa x Xander Zhou! This collection is a beast. It takes the monochromatic palette of the first crossover collection and expands its world. In it's second iteration, the clothes have experienced a cambric evolution. Like how the collection continues to create a stylish silhouette for game time, and game over, further allowing Kappa to spread it's wings in fashion. Check a few more looks we diggin'. You slept on this Jean Paul Gaultier, Haute Couture SS22 collection didn't you? I feels ya, I turned off the transmission myself a few years ago, so count me in amongst the rabble. What's changed? Well they got Glenn Martens as a guest designer for this season, head designer of Y/Project. Ah wakey-wakey! You know what that cat do eh? Turns out Glenn started out at JPG, 15 years ago, so it's quite a 360. Also this guest designer thing seems to be the new direction for the brand, last season it was Sacai.
Check it though. Glenn has modernized this pinnacle of fashion craftsmanship and creativity proper! Even pushed it back ahead, as the brand always offered in it's heydays! I'm doin' some front flips over this Devil's Pie of a red dress, I need to see some closeups! Full disclosure, I ain't peeped the latest show from Louis Vuitton, but this bit of goodness has made me want to so much more. Vigil (Rest In Peace) and Benji B commissioned Tyler the Creator to score the show, and that said score has been made available on social medias now.
Can say I am not the most fluent with what Tyler's been makin', but this is orchestral goodness right here! The vibe is breezy, and maxes on cool points in the Miles Davis era of cool not the modern one. Nice to see the dude can rock this flav, cuz it's a different corner from just makin' a beat. Well Nigo sets off his Kenzo design captaincy with a collection that is decidedly his flavor. It packs the fun, and colorful palettes of his well known style, and it feels like a great new fit for Kenzo moving foward.
